Convention South, the national multi-media magazine for planning events in the South, has named the Jackson Convention & Visitors Bureau one of its 2011 class of Readers’ Choice Award winners.

Meeting professionals and event planners were asked to name the convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs), convention centers, conference centers, hotels, resorts and other meetings sites that they believed display exemplary creativity and professionalism to groups. Nominations were received from readers throughout the year and the top picks were selected via online voting form more than 1,000 readers.

“This is a true honor to be recognized by meeting and event planners throughout 14 states in the South,” Jackson CVB President and CEO Wanda Wilson says.

The Jackson Convention Complex was also named a Readers Choice Award winner.
