HeartBeats of Jackson Jan. 21 at MS Trademart! Sign up today!
For the third year, HeartBeats of Jackson rallies medical engines to support the overwhelming heart health movement in the capital city. Beginning in 2009, HeartBeats of Jackson provided a wealth of knowledge to participants concerning the health of their heart. Critical heart testing results followed with physician consultations were not only a sign of how important regular check-ups are, but for some, life-saving.
Once again, we welcome you to engage in this one-of-a-kind event provided by the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership, along with the Jackson Heart Foundation, Baptist Cardiovascular Services, Central Mississippi Medical Center, St. Dominic’s Mississippi Heart Institute, and University Heart– January 21, 2012. This event will provide information, needed services, and heath care opportunities for individuals to take charge of their own health in the greater Jackson area.
HeartBeats of Jackson participants will also have the opportunity to meet with area physicians and medical personnel and have screenings for cardiovascular disease performed. Each of these tests and procedures are extremely expensive for the average patient
Tests will be offered completely free of charge for chamber members that were not able to attend last year and to the local community. This event is our way of giving back and helping individuals to know their risks and monitor their health more efficiently.
We are proud to report that in just two short years this event touched nearly 1,000 lives in Jackson, MS and our healthcare providers performed tests costing approximately $1,138,500! Next month, we expect to do more!
For those of you who sign up for testing, you will be provided cardiovascular screenings that include EKG, Ankle-Brachial Index, Echocardiogram, Lipid panel and Physician Consultation.

Chamber Academy 2012: “Resolutions and Results: How to make this year’s commitments stick!”
Forget about resolutions, because you probably already have! Focus on getting results! Every January 1st you make New Year’s Resolutions because you want a better year, if not a great year. It’s a tradition of the holiday.
Resolutions usually revolve around a long-standing want, need, or problem you have that you would like resolved. Regardless of the issue, getting the results you want requires that you do things differently, or do different things.
The key question is: “What are you going to do that will make the necessary changes become an automatic part of who you are and what you do?
The average life expectancy of you doing the things necessary to accomplish your resolution is about four days! Nothing got resolved because you had no resolve! Your resolution ends up being just a fleeting notion to start putting in effort. It ends before achieving effect… and next year, just like last year, you’ll have to face off against your failure, making the same resolution all over again.
Make this year different! In this interactive workshop you will discover the keys to getting…and sustaining… the results you desire. You’ll leave with practical tools to help you succeed!
If you would like to attend this workshop, please email Debi Green, dgreen@greaterjacksonpartnership.com to get registered. The cost for the workshop is $15 and will include your lunch. This interactive workshop, presented by Michael Harbaugh, President of Center for Continuous Improvement, will be held at the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership office on Thursday, February 2, 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m. Make your reservation TODAY!!!
